Kevin Schwantz

I was lucky enough to meet Kevin Schwantz today at Road Atlanta, he was riding around on a small scooter, had stopped and was chatting with someone, we walked up and shook his hand, I did not have a camera on me to get a picture, but a really nice guy.

I did ride a GT down there, I even tried to see if Kevin would take it around the track once, but he said the 125 cc bikes he was riding with the 13-16 yr olds today were faster, though they do not have ESA or cruise on their bikes so I bet they are a bit more uncomfortable

Re: Kevin Schwantz

Very cool Mike.

He is a great, natural rider 1st and a great guy 2nd. That's from a rider's perspective so forgive the order.

Re: Kevin Schwantz

Pretty cool!
He's one person I would very much enjoy having the privelege of meeting. Eddie Lawson and Mick Doohan also come to mind. Kenny Roberts Sr. too now that I think about it. Kinda like the "Rat Pack" of the motorcycle world.
It would have been really awesome if you could have gotten a shot of him riding one of those minibikes from your GT!

Re: Kevin Schwantz

I met him last year in San Francisco, he was at a Dainese grand opening, too lazy to put up photo, but he is one of my hero's for sure. Very nice, down to earth and took his time with me.
