Road Info?

I'm considering a ride this weekend over the road from Oroville to Quincy in Cal via Bucks Lake. Has anyone been over it lately? I was wondering if it's paved all the way.

As much as I love this LT it's not a great choice for dirt or gravel roads.

Thanks for any help.

Re: Road Info?

Yes it is but..... Check on the road closures and fire status in that area first>

Thumbs up Re: Road Info?

If you want to ride a really twisty route from Oroville to Quincy. All paved ..... seldom used ..... and guaranteed to scrape ounces off your side and center stands .....
Quincy-La Porte road !!!! I was just there July 2 and it was UNBELIEVABLE !!!!

I was considering that for the ride down from Reno to Cal on Saturday and then returning via the Bucks Lake route. The other way I may go is Hwy 49 through Downieville and Nevada City. Another wonderful mountain Hwy. It's great to live near so many.

Thanks for the route info, I'll plug it into my Zumo.

As was mentioned above, fires allowing we'll cover a couple nice routes this weekend.
