New Ducati

Went to the by-invitation-only showing of the new Ducati Desmosedici RR at Touring Sport BMW/Ducati/Aprilia/Vespa in Greenville, SC. Wow. 990 cc V-4 desmo engine, making over 200 hp. I believe that Ducati has raced a V-4 engine before, but this is the first model with that engine that's available to the public. All of the red body parts were carbon fiber. What a sound! I can still hear it - not all that loud, but ... it just sounded like gobs of power! The first bike is already sold; I'm having some trouble coming up with the $70K so I can order mine.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Re: New Ducati

Here's some "artsy" pictures of it I did in Febuary at a friend's house.
The tires are custom made for this bike only!

Re: New Ducati

Just get te 848! 13K - 134hp - 370 pounds.

It is the perfect bike for my riding location.
And it isn't uncomfortable like the previous superbikes.

Re: New Ducati

I think Tom Cruise got the first one in the US. It was all over the news a couple months ago that he was going to be getting the first one. Have not seen anything about him actually getting it though.

I firmly believe (no kidding) that IF you can't see GOD on that bike that you had your eyes closed.... or you backed off the throttle.

He's been seen already at tracks in CA taking the beast around.

A friend picked one up this past March, and when the bike is heard, outside, under load, there's nothing like it. Recorded a two minute vid:
