Since you didn't add a smiley, I can't tell whether or not you know about Aerostich's "special items".

Like the Ben-Hur kit:

Or the Mojo Multiplier:
http://www.aerostich.com/product.php?productid=17416

or the Wireless Banality Blocker

Or the analog GPS, or......

You're right. I was reeled in like a big ole flounder! I guess I haven't explored the Aerostich site enough yet! But I still think the Bio-luminescence riding gear treatment idea is still the coolest thing ever! Especially one of the reviews:

"This is awesome. Never again will motorists not see me. However, it does scare the children. And I am concerned about the nuclear waste content."

Now all we have to do is figure out how to really do it.

Hello all,
I'm a new old guy. I hate to say this, but I don't own a BMW motorcycle...Yet. However, i'm in the prosesses of purchasing a new LT.
I wanted to get started a bit ahead of my purchase and get on this board to gain some knowledge about a bike I know very little about.
Foegive me all, but I currently own and ride a Gold Wing. It's been a fine ride.
It's taken me all over this great country with over 105,000 miles to date.
I've only had to replace the generator on it. I believe, as it is with any bike, one has to keep up with the oil and filter changes.
While on one of my toures I met a fine gentleman from San Diego, in the bad lands of S.D. He was 82 years old riding on a LT. After talking to him for a good while about him and his BMW, he sparked my interest in the brand. I later took a demo ride on a (new at the time) '07 LT.
After the ride, I thought it was a very fine piece of machinery and kept it in the back of my mind.
After enduring another winter, I stopped at my local BMW dealer here in Michigan, and took another demo ride on what they call an '09 LT in black.
Well, I was sold. Although I still feel the ol' 1500 and 1800 Gold Wings are fine bikes, I now think the 1200LT has a better value package. Meaning, compared with what one gets with the LT, it would cost me approxomately $2000 dollars more for the same package in a new '08 Wing.
Thanks for listening

Re: New Member

Welcome, Michael. The Wing is a fine bike, with a slightly different focus than the LT.

May I suggest that you read everything that you can on these forums. But don't believe everything that you read.

And feel free to ask anything that may come to mind. There are some quite knowledgeable folks here who are more than willing to share.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Well thankyou my friend. This is just what I expected when I joined this board.
Yes, I have been doin' just that. I've been on the ol' cyber machine soaking up all of the information I can obtain.
Thanks again for your quick response.

If people already think you're a ghost, I wonder if they have an optional horns/tail kit?
