I wouldn't want to see him hurt or bike damaged, but I bet there is an interesting spark pattern for a "night time" slide on the pavement.

I can honestly say "I've never seen that movie!!!" Seemed to be a weird idea for a movie.. still does.

Is it worth watching for a laugh? After all, it was made into a DVD!!!

Re: Sir Chrome

It's actually a decent B-movie, if you don't expect too much.

The funny thing is, the guy who wrote and directed it spent some time hanging around the medieval recreation group that I'm in. Now that was 30 years ago, but he tried to capture the atmosphere of a small subculture trying to bring the ideas of honor and chivalry back into the modern world.

It's definitely worth a NetFlix rental.

Re: Sir Chrome

This group started near the University in Berkeley in the 60's (big surprise) and has been going for 40+ years. There are now 40,000+ members with chapters all over America, Europe, Asia, and even South Africa.

The coolest thing is that we're now seeing 2nd and 3rd generation kids that have grown up with the ideas of honor, chivalry, courtesy, and a respect for history as a normal part of their lives. It's just too bad the rest of the world doesn't work that way.

It's actually a very old idea Ken. The originator was Jesus Christ. Too bad your "respect for history" leaves Him out of the picture. So much for respect.

Oh...i kill me.

And I knew that would be your exact comment, Joe. These ideas go back way further than a measly two millennia. As does mankind's propensity for violence and oppression which is something the church is quite familiar with.

So I repeat, it's too bad the rest of the world doesn't really work that way, regardless of what they preach.

If you would like to continue the same old religious debate, I'm sure we can move this to the Supporting Members forum. Otherwise, we can leave this thread as the piece of chrome-plated fluff that it is.
