48 states ride

Does anyone know where I can get the 48 state ride route?

You create your own route. There is no such thing as "The Route". You could follow Ron Ayres orginal route, just get a copy of his book on the subject.

You might check the Motorcycle Touring Form, as they have done organized group rides

As Bob says, half the fun is making up the route.

And a lot of that depends on your own restrictions. Where are you starting, where are you ending (not necessarily the same place), are you adding in Alaska for a 48+?

I agree that the MTF website is a great resource, as is the Iron Butt website that lists the ride rules and links to some ride reports. And as always, Google is your friend.

I spoke to a fellow who has his route planned out and he said he got it from the IronButt website. His route starts in Miami, OK and ends in Amarillo, TX. We were in OKC where he lives so I am assuming that the route can be generated close to your home and ends near to the start. He mentioned that your can add Alaska for a 48+.
