Any Piaggio MP3 Riders Here?

My wife rides a Suzuki Burgman. She likes big scooters, and logs a lot of miles on hers, including multi-day highway rides.

She saw a Piaggio MP3 in a local dealer's showroom, saw a few demo videos on YouTube, and really likes the idea of a stable scooter for her rides. I gotta admit, from what I've seen the things are really well made and look like they are a hoot to ride.

We haven't taken a test ride as yet because it's snow and ice season where we live.

Anyone here own a Piaggio MP3? I'd like to know how you like it.

Thanks.

Inside my 60 year old body is a 35 year old brain wondering what the hell happened.

My local BMW dealer has a separate building from which they sell Ducati, Aprilia and several brands of scooters. The Piaggio MP3s showed up there when they were introduced. The folks at the dealership use them for running errands so we see them around town. I've not tried one out but they look pretty nifty.

Bought a 250 this year ... it's a BLAST to ride ... lean as far as you like, extremely stable and FUN ! And the best part of all is the grins on people's faces when they see you coming. But ... give yourself an extra cushion of time because you'll be answering a lot of questions about it at every stop!

Re: Any Piaggio MP3 Riders Here?

My wife saw one at the Toronto Motorcycle show. By the end of the show we had one. A 250cc model. Great fun little machine. I used it one weekend when my LT was down because of a bad clutch. Put over 600 km on it. was great, rides at 110kph on the hyway no problem. Also great mileage. In Ontario it is considered a motorcycle, not a scooter so a full motorcycle licience is required to drive it. Lots of storeage under the seats.

Great little bike.
