What is the High Today in Your Neck of the Woods?

Mecklenburg County

Today: The sun will return this afternoon. It'll be breezy at times. Highs should reach the low 50s in the metro area.

Saturday: It looks like it will be a sensational weekend. After chilly temperatures in the morning, mostly sunny skies with highs near 60 degrees.

Sunday: Look for a few more clouds through the day but it will still be quite mild. Highs in the mid 60s.

What's the forecast where you live? High temp today?

90+ here but, I'm at work in Africa. Another warm feeling is the U.S. Navy has been hanging around here, they are right off shore from my apartment tonight. They have been spending alot of time in this area for the last few months.

Suppose to get all the way up to 38 today. We have snow predicted over the weekend, again.

Next week it may get all the way to the mid 40's. Can't wait for Spring!

A cool and somewhat overcast day with a light breeze.

Same tomorrow (Saturday). Rain on Sunday, then warming up to the high 60s by mid-week. I think I can tough it out until then.

Hi Wade! Welcome to the Forum! You'll love your LT. Sorry to hear of the crappy weather you guys are getting out there. I was through there in the summer and was amazed at the wind! Whew!!! Our tall and abundat trees here help keep that down.

Well, spring is just around the corner so it'll be better soon! Interesting to hear all the differing conditions around the country and world.

Back when this thread was started, the high was about -28C. Today, 7 days later, we started the day at -22C and the forecast is for temperatures to drop

Oh, well. That's weather in north central Alberta for ya.

That's yesterday and then today at the house. We're in a bit of a sheltered part of town. Gives a good feel.
I've a bit of a sun heating issue from about 3:00 to 6:00pm though - tad highish than it really was. Sun sneaks under the eaves and hits the sensor direct. Keep saying I'm gonna build a rad shield - maybe this summer.

Moderator, Delete this thread!

Since this thread got started it has been above freezing, below freezing, precipitated a "wintry mix" a couple of times, and has been generally incompatible with motorcycling in one manner or another.

The drive has been a 1/4 mile of snow, slush, or ice depending on the day since this thread was started.

The LT is still on the lift in my little shop of horrors.

I have been skiing several times. Fell down once and have a big bruise to show for it. The cross country skiing is good. Snowmobiling is good. Ice fishing is good. Hockey is good. So, STOP IT with how nice the riding is in your neck of the woods. It is kinda getting to me. But that was the intention, was it not?

So, I just love you guys, posting about how warm it is in your "sun belt".

Well Charlie, I understand. It only got up to 63 today with beautiful blue skies here! Got a little sunburn on my face through the shield. Didn't get to make but about 75 miles or so and then it dropped down to about 59 degrees so I had to pull her in the garage before I froze to death!

Hey All-

Who can find the picture of "Uncle Rock" on his "KLTA" crossing a frozen creek?, lots of us Have seen it-it ranks w/all of these.I expected him to pipe up-but he's probably making someones day inking them up or on a "Rock" type journalistic adventure.
I spent a lot of time looking ,but ran out of time.

TIA

Right now it is 27F, tonights low will be -2 with -25 wind chill...tomorrows high will be 2 above with -30 wind chill & 40 mph wind gusts. So if I ride with the wind it will cancel out the wind chill. But, at some point I will have to turn around & head back. If I go 60mph against a 40mph wind & temp is 2 above, the wind chill be ???

59 degrees in Alabama

It was 59 here today but I would have ridden in anything after spending the morning dealing with my ex. Better than anything I could ever get in a bottle for stress relief. Rode up to Tennessee and hit one of my favorite set of twisties for about 30 miles at a pretty brisk pace to put it mildly and was smiling like a possom when I finished.

Thumbs down No Riding Today!

Headed to Phoenix this afternoon . Hope the winds calm down a bit . . .

WIND CHILL ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO
10 AM EST MONDAY...

THE WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO 10
AM MONDAY FOR ALL OF NORTHERN OHIO.

WEST WINDS WILL AVERAGE 25 TO 35 MPH TODAY WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS
50 MPH. WEST WINDS WILL DECREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH EARLY TONIGHT AND 10 TO 15 MPH MONDAY MORNING.

THE STRONG WINDS COMBINED WITH DROPPING TEMPERATURES WILL PRODUCE DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS OF 10 TO 15 DEGREES BELOW ZERO. THE COLDEST WIND CHILLS WILL OCCUR THIS AFTERNOON INTO MONDAY MORNING.

IF YOU WILL BE OUTDOORS USE COMMON SENSE AND DRESS WARMLY...MAKING SURE THAT ALL EXPOSED SKIN IS COVERED. IF POSSIBLE...AVOID PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO THE COLD TO PREVENT FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA.

Temp is about 28. I think I'll just go skiing at the nearest hill about 45 minutes away. The only way to spend winter in the Great White North.

-2 F was today's high temp in southeastern Wisconsin. Wind velocity varied from 20 to 40 mph, yielding wind chill readings of -35 F.

Well, if you *really* want to know current conditions out here - click the 'Weather Undergound' banner in my sig. It'll take you to the web page for my home weather station. Give it a second or 10 to load - then scroll down for all the geeky goodies.

But, I'm not holding my breath waiting for a huge influx of visitors

Upper 70's got stuck in traffic and it was actually getting a little uncomfortable. Have to admit I do not miss the northeast this time of year.
