Question Piaa Lighting

I am wanting to change my stock PIAA 1100 lighting lamps to an amber color. I read and believe that it would increase my daytime conspicuity. I installed HID this weekend and feel my nightime lighting is now more than sufficient.

How do I go about doing the change in color and where to buy? Is it simply the lens or bulb or both? I'm a bit confused on it.

Thanks for any guidance.

James

Lightbulb

On the PIAA 1100 the lamp and lens are one unit. I didn't know they made them in amber flavor. The lamp/lens assy costs around $37.00 each.
I get mine from the local 4X4 shop as they are a PIAA dealer.
Note that your existing PIAA will look yellow next to your HID and that alone gives you added conspicuity. That is the setup I currently have and cagers told me on numerous occasion that they can see me way before I catch up with them.

PIAA lights

thanks Gilles. I guess when I wrote Amber I mean some sort of yellow like a fog light. I remember one time seeing a sport bike with some sort of yellow headlight or lens cover, and it was almost blinding at a half mile away it seemed. I couldn't believe how far that thing projected and how bright it was during the daytime.
