Talking Deal is Done: KGT to KS

I took a nice ride today on the Cosmic Blue Metallic/Silver Metallic 2007 "S" and loved every inch in every mile! Even though I am a hair under 6'3", the ergos were surprisingly comfy. I love the lighter bike beneath me. I shook hands, signed a piece of paper and tomorrow will make the trade!

I had a nice highway run and the wind-factor was really a non-factor. I experienced tons more buffeting and wind issues with Tall and Short BMW screen on the KGT. Sure, I will probably get a peg extension kit but I did for the GT and my RT before that.

Nonetheless, the bike is superb! I will not dwell on the economics because one cannot financially rationalize trading out so quick. Oh well. Life is short and I have worked between 2,900-3,000 hours a year for the last three years. Having the bike of my dreams beneath me is all I ask in return.

This forum was instrumental in helping me sort through the "things to think about."

Thanks to all who ventured an opinion...all were considered...!

P.S. In case there is interest, the bike has all the goodies - heated grips, ESA, ABS, computer, and I cannot remember what else...

I kind of did the same thing with a slightly different flavor.
I went from an 06 LT to an 07 R12S and haven't looked back.
Missed that boxer beat.
Good luck with the K12S!
