Ever had a helmet stolen?

I just saw this on another list and thought all here might be interested. Security is not a problem on my LT but others may find this product useful. I have no interest in the company. I know it's after the fact, but here's a great, inexpensive solution that
folds up very small and is very effective:

We were just talking about this yesterday.

Guy always running his mouht about how bad ass his roadking is, blah blah blah.

Chick walks into the bar hey who left their helmet out in the lot?

Roadking guy says " is it that windy, It was on my bike"

Chick says What bike?

Someone stole it right out of the lot, guess they didn't like BMW's or they knew who's it was.

Best helmet theft deterrent there is - give 'em something better to steal!

I always just put a sticker on the inside of my helmets - "Rider has head lice". May not keep them from stealing it, but sooner or later they'll see it and wish they hadn't.

The 05 LT and on have a cable to secure the helmet to bike.

I had one stolen.. a "Captain America" one...

Another time I left one on the bike.... it was painted with New Orleans Saints motif... I came back and there were 2!!!! JUST KIDDING!!!!!!

PacSafe makes a great product. I have their locking soft bag for the back of my GS. The helmet bag is cool, but you can accomplish the same thing with a cable lock and it takes up a lot less room.

Both of my 01's came with the cable, but I'll have to admit I didn't have a CLUE what is was for until I broke down and ACTUALLY READ THE OWNERS MANUAL! (I thought it might be for flossing...)

For theft deterrent, my small Smith and Wesson decal seems to work....

....and you wouldn't believe how a large frame, 6 inch, S/S .357 magnum, er, decal, works!

Nah, that's overkill. Start with a "pull pin" decal!
