Power windshield question

Not that it matters, at least I don't think, but this question is about an 04 GT.
Here is what it's doing, see if anyone knows the problem.
When you push up, nothing happens.
When you push down, it cycles as in it will go down until it's all the way down and then it goes up until all the way up and so on. It wouldn't be an issue other than sometimes when it's all the way down, you have to move it a bit to get it started.
Anyone seen this before? Is it worth fixing.
Anyone know what the fix is?

Sometimes you can get so fixated on the fact that you are right that you lose sight of the reality that it doesn't matter.

power windshield

I don't claim to be a exspert on power windshields . I did buy a wrecked
1100 RT an the shield had the same simptons . I found a striped drive gear
in other words a tooth was missing . Has anything hit the windshield ? I will
say this its harder to get to than it is to fix . Its a nylon gear an the only
issue installing it is to get it in time . So it ingauges the limit switches right
before full up an full down without binding . If you have a service manual it
might have something in it about installing a drive motor that would cover
how to time it. But if your mechanically inclined its pretty easy to figure out .
Ha! I'll put this way if you can do all it takes to get to it you can fix it .

Have Fun
