7 x BBG

Well a very high bar has been set by a LD rider that goes by Warchild if the ride checks out with the IBA. He posted over on the FJR forum that he completed 7 consecutive days of 1500 miles or 7 BBG's in a row for over 10,000 in under 7 days. This is an amazing feat of stamina no matter how you look at it.

July 14 - 1,519 miles
July 15 - 1,510 miles
July 16 - 1,521 miles
July 17 - 1,515 miles
July 18 - 1,526 miles
July 19 - 1,518 miles
July 20 - 1,527 miles

Note: I did not post this to hear all of the usual banter on how it can not be safe or why would anyone even try. If you have never trained and practiced for and/or completed any IBA extreme rides then it would be hard to understand. But if you have and enjoyed it then you'll understand the accomplishment.

Having completed a 10,000 mile in 10 day ride, I can certainly bow in reverence to anyone completing that in 7 days!

My single BBG was enough! The BBG is arguably the most difficult of the IBA rides, outside the IBR, where far more than just riding the hours is going on.

I don't want to achieve immortality through my work...I want to achieve it through not dying.

The fact he completed it successfully speaks volumes about the preparation the rider had to do in order to pull that off. My hat's off to him! Of course, he's probably still asleep and can't hear the kudos.

I've never trained or practiced for or completed any IBA extreme ride, and I think you are right that I cannot fully comprehend his feat. However, I still am in awe of this and other LD rides, and I admire and applaud from the sidelines.

My ass starts hurting after only a couple hundred miles. I see what this guy pulled off and think: I'm such a PUSSY!
