Price finally released on the Concours14

Looks like $13,799 for an ABS version

http://kawasaki.com/Products/SubCategory.aspx?id=25

I don't see any mention of available options.

Torque is 100.3ft lbs at 6200rpm, looks like a nice ride, if it had cruise control I would be interested.

Strange

Al called me from the local Kaw shop yesterday morning and did not mention this.
We have talked about the bike several times and I'm top of the list for test rides.
Maybe he just didn't have it yet, was early and he was calling about caliper's for my quad back ordered.

I think the price was released late yesterday afternoon.

If you look real close, you can see where they've modified the side vents with a little lip to deflect the heat from the rider. I'll be real interested to see how that works in 100+ temps this summer.

Howdy Cousin Doug,

I checked the website pretty thoroughly and couldn't find the "official" horsepower number. Seems conspicuous that they wouldn't list it....perhaps they are below the GT numbers

That rumor comes straight outta the boys in Canada who seem to get info before we do down this way. They had their price about a month ago.

Kawi dealer around the corner says that they're hoping to have one for 'display' in a month or so...

"Display" - does that mean it will be like one of those fake TVs they put in model homes?

More than 132,000 (recently corrected higher) motorcycle riders have died in traffic crashes since the enactment of the Highway Safety Act of 1966 and The National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966. Be careful out there.

no cruise VS GT cruise
no heated seats VS GT heated seats
no heated grips VS GT heated grips
(roasted legs from engine heat? VS non roasted legs)
no ESA VS GT ESA
conventional forks VS Hosack (or whatever it is the GT has)

It ain't all about torque and horsepower in my book.

12 month standard warranty. They must not be to confident in its ability to last.

Gerbings and a throttle rocker takes care of my concerns, 1 ohlins vs 2, and hopefully NO rear drive failures, lower maintenance cost. Less bike but less $ I'm taking a closer look. May be nostalgic, but I kinda miss front end dive.

KAW has not published BHP yet....or I just can't find it....they did include torgue data......

I'm so in love with this GT....I don't think I'll ride the KAW untill 2008. Every couple years I usually get the itch for a new one.....sneaking up on 7,000 miles on the GT now....too soon to say bye.....
