That Vision has been visited here before. Seems like all the bikes are starting to look all alike anymore. A co-worker bought a blue Honda St1300 and with it parked next to my blue Lt everyone said "Look it's mini me".

My first impression was wow. My second was all looks, no function and my third was How is this worth more than an LT?

Sometimes you can get so fixated on the fact that you are right that you lose sight of the reality that it doesn't matter.

Naahhhhhh, the LT is what George Jetson would ride. The Vision borrows elements from all the big tourers, with a Vtwin thrown in to lure the Cruiser crowd. At least it's modern looking, instead of a rehash of the 50's look. Which is fine, btw, if that's what you want. Me? I like the modern looks of the LT, except for the cyclops headlight. I really like the front of the wing and other double headlight bikes.

The latest issue of Motorcyclist has a 2 page ad with the profile of the vision and it's connection to LT styling looks unmistakable to me.

I recently talked to one of the engineers on the Vision project and they acquired an LT and a Goldwing for analysis when designing the Vision. He remarked how many times they dropped the LT moving it around the plant. They attempted to take the best parts of them both and adapt it to the cruiser motif to give cruiser riders a luxury touring package.

It finally occured to me where I had seen Vision styling before. See attachment.

But seriously, the more I see it the more I like it. I don't see myself owning one but it would be fun to ride for a few weeks.

Wow! it's Hugh Hefner's bike!

I like it. The front two-tone trim reminds me of the robe Hugh Hefner wears.
I like whatever Arlen Ness designs.

Here are some quick spec comparrisons between the Vision, LT, & HD Ultra.
BMW LT
Length: 98.5, Wheelbase; 64.1, Seat Height: 30.3, Width 42.5, Dry Weight; 761.

HD Ultra Classic Electric Glide
Length: 98.3, Wheelbase; 63.5, Seat Height: 30.7, Dry Weight; 808.

Victory Vision
Length: 104.9, Wheelbase; 65.7, Seat Height: 26.5, Width 44.9, Dry Weight; to be announced.

Notice the HD weighs more than the LT. I applaude HD for being able to make their bike seem 200 hundred pounds lighter than the LT and they do it in full view without hiding everything behind tubberware.

+ 1! I though all that chrome and the little gay, er, cute dangley things on the handle bars would make it feel heavier also.

I saw two of them this weekend at the Honda Hoot here in Knoxville this weekend. It reminds me of the Edsil car. I think that it will sell and last about as long as the Edsil also. I think that it is way before it's time or just some terrible designing. I will have to pass.

Maybe in a parking lot or pushing it into your garage, but not where it counts: on the road, especially a curvy one.

Compared to the LT, the hog feels like a log on casters. Oh, and hit the brakes hard on each and the LT stops like a bike half it's weight while the Glide feels like a freight train about to jack-knife.

I hope Victory sells a lot of those funky Vision bikes. I would enjoy seeing them out on the road.
