Lt died out/won't start

Any ideas on what may cause my 2003 LT to die out?
after riding for a couple hours, while stopped I noticed a pulsing/humming sound, then the bike died out. Now it won't start or starts and immediately bogs down and dies out.

any thoughts?

One off - chance guess if that the fuel filter has come loose in the tank. Open the cap and put an ear to it see if you can hear it with the key on. (may have to cycle the key a few times as it only pumps for a second or so until the bike is running)

Have ridden a Motorcycle in all 48
But lack DE, MA, RI and CT with the 2005 LT

On mine the electrical conection to/from the fuel pump came loose. This happened the last Saturday in April(warranty expired two weeks later).

Since I was trading it in anyway for a RT I told them to just keep it. I just gave them the title yesterday.
