For those interested in the Concours14

I just heard that the price and the weight specs will be released mid-Jun around the time of their District Manager's meeting. Still no word on any options that will be available. If you're waiting to get one, you may be waiting until around mid-July. Other rumors afloat are that the dealers will receive 1 in June and 3 in July. Not sure how true that is, but the price release talk comes from a very reliable source.

Thumbs up Thanks for the update.

Glad I didn't wait for this bike when I was considering the GT. Now, as my GT approaches 22K it proved to be a good decision for me. Having said that, I do look forward to the day when I can take this C14 for a little test ride.

I need to read more than just thread headlines, my man...I only superficially followed your recent trek across part of the country and I thought I read more problems with your bike than I have with my failing body...

Let's see if Concours will have rear drive failure similar to GT.

Most likely not. But Kawasaki's are not without their own set of issues. The ZX-11s were notorious for blowing cylinder 3, although I didn't have any trouble with mine.

I agree with Joe, probably not. However, Kawasaki DID have at least ONE rear drive problem that I know of.

My wife bought a new Kawaski Voyager (luxury tourer) back in the mid 1980's. I "think" that it was the first model year that it was introduced, maybe a 1984 or 1985 model. The rear drive failed with just under 700 (yes seven HUNDRED) miles on it. To their credit, it was quickly fixed, and never bothered again. She sold it with just under 40,000 miles on it.
