Man, what gave me the chills is the guy who almost hit the Ferrari. Do they make enough insurance for that kind of crash?

Did y'all see the article in the new Motocyclist magazine? The one called "Crashers Anonymous".

How did the rider on the Gold Wing fair?

This would have been one of those "Airbag" situations for new Wing.

Still haven't heard of a real world situation of airbag deployment on the new Wing. There are a few Airbag Wings out there.

Kinda reminds me of a Ducati hanging really wide oncoming in my lane at 100+ MPH in a 35, missing me and the truck following me. If you can't hold your line on the Dragon, you're riding to hard or need to hone your skills somewhere else.

They'll keep abusing that area until motorcycles are banned and/or the enforcement is insanely tight. (cars use that area pretty agressively as well) To bad some people can't think more than 5 minutes from now, and even then, only of themselves. It's hard to believe people are allowing that area to be ruined just so Darryl and his cronies can get rich off of exploiting it the way they have. Really a shame to see Motorcyclist Magazine actually bought into this sh$t and has not only promoted the area (thanks for ruining it with overcrowding now guys - as if it wasn't bad enough already!) but highlighted people wiping out, for which I'm sure Darryl yet again proffited.
Ah well, life goes on, and thankfully for now, there are still plenty of other, better places to ride.

WOW! I can't believe they allow trucks on this road AT ALL!

It looks like a beautiful area, BUT, with all the traffic, including trucks, (and people continually nutting up), why would you even bother visiting?!

The trucks are warned long before they ever get to the area. The problem is two fold, you get new drivers that are looking to shortcut the long way around and then old timers that think they are really good and can negotiate any road. I've been through there twice now, when some guy with a low-boy trailer with a big Cat onboard has hung the trailer up.

BTW, during the week the traffic is not bad, starting about Friday through Sunday, it is a real pain in the rear.
