planned four corner

trip in August. (Planning to leave central NY July 30) doing Maine first then heading south for family wedding Aug 3 in Orlando doing Key West, then heading West and Northwest to pick up SO who will be in OR. visiting Grand kids and aiming to ride home for work Aug 28.

Is this a realistic plan.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

I don't know your wife, but since she in visiting grand youngin's. Plan the last leg of trip with her aboard at at 300 mile days.
You'll already have the 1000 mile stare on from the distance your covering, and no matter what anyone trys to tell you riding 2 up is more work than solo.
Leave Orlando the moring of the 4th (fully rested) Pick up the SO in OR on the 17th or there abouts, home to work 28th.

Sounds like a very nice ride, have fun.

The first leg of your trip is going to be hot and sticky,
daytime temp's will be in the low 90's with the humidity around the same percentage,
at night it might cool off to the low to mid 80's,
if you're not used to that kind of weather it can be pretty tough riding.
Start early, drink lots of water and hide in the AC for a couple of hours in the afternoon.

Many people think you can ride year around in Florida,
well you can but whether you want to or not is up to you.

My bike doesn't get a lot of miles in June, July, August unless I'm outta state,
if I'm in Florida I'll most likely be out on my boat.

Talking thanks for the replies

I know it is going to be a trip to remember. And that it is going to be hot for much of the lower states portion. As someone who is an ATGATT kind of rider, I would be happy for any and all advice or tips to help me enjoy this.

On our trip to CCR my SO and I did one 700 mi day and a couple 550 mi. ones. She was comfortable and admitted it was better then she thought it would be and she became an extra pair of eyes for me. Also when we arrived home wanted to know when we could do it again!!! When asked by our neighbor would she do it again, she said "for sure, just as soon as I ger the laundry done.
