Hey a new product that works...wheelwax

Yo, preferred vendors, hop on this one...

American Racing, the company that makes higher-end custom wheels for cars, advertises "wheelwax" (www.wheelwax.com) that is supposed to "changes the surface polarity of your wheels to repel brake dust particles"

I figured, what the hell, give it a try. Problem was, it's a monster to find the stuff, Pep Boys, auto zone, no one has it, but since I hate cleaning my rims, I ordered some. Then I thought...you know what is worse...cleaning the wheels on the LT, I don't remember one time doing a really good job of cleaning them without cutting my knuckles or missing spots.

So I tried my own version of their advertisement, and only waxed half of my rear wheel. Rode 700 miles, plenty of opportunity for dust and brake dust to get thrown on the rim, then hosed it down...and no kidding, the stuff WORKS, check out the pics.

The wax is about $15, I used 1/3 of the can on two cars (8 wheels) and the LT, passed it on to my neighbor who did his two daily drivers and his 'vette, still have about 1/3 of the container left.

five stars!

(PS. Meguillar's new scratch remover stuff, that is being advertised as great for removing scratches from anything plastic including...their advertisement "sunglasses, motorcle helmet faceshields, even motorcycle windscreens..." doesn't work worth a shit, save your money there)

see pics below

like any wax, don't be a dumbass like I was and leave it on too long before wiping it off, unless you enjoy spending an hour removing concrete wax from your rims...lol

let me know what you think

I prefer Dr. Zog's sex wax, and I've found that it works great on my surf board too!

Just checked local availability from the website and the local Bimmer, Lexus, Mercedes & Saab dealers are carrying it! Guess those precision machines have dirty wheels too!

I purchased my WheelWax @ a " Discount Tire " store as they are an authorized distributor also.

Seems It took as long cleaning those beautiful BMW wheels as cleaning the whole bike took. I took a chance and purchase some. I did the recommended 2 seperate, one after the other wax coat install. I can say after riding all day today they did "look" less dirty than usual but they were still dusty, just not as much or as dark us usual.... They did clean up faster tho with only a polishing towel to brush the brake/dirt dust off... Came right off so there must be something to it..

**Addendum: Before buying the "WheelWax" I tried using regular high grade car wax and it made no difference at all......Proved that to myself first before trying to find the real "WheelWax"
