This is totally disgusting

Being a Concours owner for the past 17yrs, this stunt on a recent episode of American Chopper just completely turns my stomach! Yeah, I know it was staged, but talk about not showing any respect...........

They are running out of "theme" bikes to build, so have to fill the time with something to try and keep the ratings up.
All staged showbiz now...they soldout long ago.

It still sucked to destroy a great bike like that!! The one part that I like was just before they started spraying the Honda tank the camara panned across the parking lot and I saw a couple BMW's but NO HD's !!!

disqusting

i never could understand there high ratings. just a disfuntional family yelling and screeming at each other while they put a kit bike together. now thats a real brain builder. i guess its more of that loud pipes save lives mentality.

Needless to say, both OCC and FlowJet are getting bombarded with emails from po'd Concours owners.

I think that little stunt lost them more viewers than it gained them.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why someone would let them destroy their bike like that. Unless they offered them TONS of money. Even then, most Concours owners are extremely loyal and devoted to their Connies. Makes no sense to me - at all!

Help

I can't get the URL to load. What am I doing wrong?
I've tried 2-3 times, hit IE's Refresh button, etc.
Tried going to his home page and navigating to it from there... no joy.

The URL looks like it has been abbreviated. If so, can someone post the complete URL?

Yes, same here. I can hear the audio but see no video. I did see an error msg that some parts of Quick Time (or something similar) are missing. I'll have to download QT I guess.

You NAILED IT!!!. I used to watch these guys all the time, had my tivo picking up the new shows as well as the re-runs..... but for the last few months all they do is show that looser Mike breaking and beating on stuff, cars, bikes everything........its ridiculous.........staged or not, find something else to destroy.

I truly hope that FlowJet and the Producers of that show are getting some heat, wish Kawasaki themselves would get in the middle of it, after all they destroyed a Connie of all bikes....

Anyway my rant.....its a stupid video and a stupid thing to do. All we need now is fans (translate teenagers with a lot of money and nothing to do, like Mike himself) thinking that is cool to do, because you know there is always an idiot that will copy what he/she sees.

I went to the TLC site and used the contact stuff to send them an email expressing my disdain for this type of programming. Not that thye'll care and not that I HAVE to watch it. But it is pretty low-brow stuff. I would love to see responsible, informational programming about cars and motorcycles, but afraid that won't happen.

Hopefully others are also sending in notes and eventually the ratings will send the show away.
