Thumbs up Group Buy Prices On All BMW Farkles Forever!!!

Just a brain fart. Why don't we start negotiating with interested vendors who would be receptive to an open-ended "group buy" for our BMWLT.NET members on every farkle known to this community. Why should these discounts last just a mere 30 days?

Let's negotiate on every farkle just like all of the hospitals do for the best pricing on their consumables. I continually get clobbered by these group purchasing organizations as a salesman. These hospitals have unbelievable contracts to buy my inventory. I end up selling on small margins. Well, at least a little margin is better than no margin. Same concept, you see. What do you guys think?

Just imagine. Christmas shopping everyday for all desired farkles. Within a year, we'll look like those obnoxious Goldwings but with much more class and performance.

Great thought . . .

Not a bad idea but . . .
I negotiated one of those healthcare contracts for my firm which had the potential of $millions$ in revenue over the next few years. Problem was quite a few of our local reps (300+) already had relationships with the individual hospitals and they took a big hit on their income stream.

Relative to Beemer world . . . there isn't enough volume to justify deep discounting every day. I'm sure that our loyal vendors feel that a BMWLT Group Buy is a "loss leader" or "end cap" promotion which will result in additional future business from their inventory. There are also referrals based on the performance of their products and/or services that were promoted during the Group Buy.

Small business today is a tough road with escalating costs including; rent, taxes, labor, advertising, legal crap and all of those goodies.
I have appreciated the couple of deals that I have received on the group buys and will favor these vendors in the future.
Just my two cent

A separate forum dedicated to group buys would be be a big help. I've missed a few that I might have been interested in because the are categorized under forums that I don't always look at on a regular basis. A separate forum would bring them all under on roof.
