Sounds like exactly the same thing on my 2002 ST1100A. That system was offered from 1996 to 2002.

Glad to see BMW is getting rid of the Integral system. The brakes are the only thing I really HATE about my 2004 LT. Sure they stop the bike quickly, but they make it very difficult to come to a smooth stop, especially with a passenger. If there are the slightest unexpected bumps in the road, which jars my hand on the brake handle, I can't get that last 3 feet of deceleration to be smooth. The bike stops, but often with a jolt. I have no such problem with the ST11, or with the earlier non-Integral versions of the LT.
