Carrying extra motor oil on a trip

I am getting ready to go on a 7000 mile trip. I was thinking of carrying some extra motor oil. I know I do not need an entire quart. What does everyone use to carry extra oil in? Do you just use the quart bottle?

I carry a quart bottle.
