Cager kindness

Car drivers usually get bad press on m/c forums.
But I can remember a couple of occasions where a stranger in a car got us out of a mess a long way from home.

1) Late at night, loaded up, raining and roadworks ending up with a slide down the road, a hole in the crank case cover and oil gushing out. The first car to come along was a utility with a fellow and his girlfriend. The bike being unridable they loaded us and the bike into the ute and took us home - 3 hours away.

2 Four cylinder air-cooled Jap bike, loaded up, straight road, very/too high speed ending up with the middle cylinders pistons melting. First car to stop saw that we weren't going anywhere, went home to get a trailer, fed us & bed us for the night, then next day took us and the bike into town to a bike shop where the bike could be repaired.

zippy_gg and PadG like this.

My plan is to live forever. So far so good.
