If this is the wrong place to talk about this please delete.

Anyway I bought our new 2016 R12RTW last year on close out deal, paid 1700 for a 6 year extended warranty that really is only 3 years past BMW 3 year 36K, (as long as I stay under 36K).

Anyway its a ZURICH PLAN and wanted to know if others have this same type of plan and if its a good plan or not.
Don't want to keep a plan that is no good.

Bike talk may be the best place for this.

I bought a used K1300GT and also got a two year extended warranty. It was not Zurich but I assume they are all pretty much the same so you just need to read the fine print on what is and is not covered. I had no issues with mine and got a TPM sensor replaced with no trouble at all from my local dealer (not the one that sold me the plan). Maybe others will chime in with their experiences.

2009 K1300GT Red Rocket
2009 R1200GS (Gone)
2005 K1200LT Ocean Blue Blue Wizard 110 K and counting...
2006 Bushtec Turbo+2 Spell
2004 330 Ci Convertable

Have ridden a Motorcycle in all 48
But lack DE, MA, RI and CT with the 2005 LT

Bought my used 2016RT and it came with a transferable 2yr extended warranty through Western Service Contract Corp. I have not had to use it as I am still under factory warranty until Mar 2019. But as stated there are several details that you have to pay attention to. Like it specifically states it will not cover: ANY REPAIR OCCURRING FROM A GRADUAL REDUCTION IN OPERATING PERFORMANCE DUE TO WEAR AND TEAR. Or: **RADIO RECEIVERS, TRANSMITTERS, SOUND SYSTEMS, NAVIGATION, BLUETOOTH®. So there are a lot of fine print details to understand. This additional 2 years of coverage ran the PO $970 but was also part of the reason I felt comfortable in selling the FJR and buying the RT.

2016 Yamaha Super Tenere ES (sold)
2008 Yamaha Zuma (wife's ride but I maintain)

I bought my 2007 K1200GT new in 2007. At the time of purchase, I bought an extended warranty for it. When my ABS failed, I learned that it was specifically excluded from the warranty. Why? Because the salesperson didn't check the box that added ABS coverage, which I would have gotten if the salesperson had offered it. He was so focused on getting that extended warranty SALE, that he didn't focus on the customer's NEEDS. As a result, I got screwed when the ABS failed and I learned that it was not covered by the extended warranty.

Frankly, I have been screwed by that BMW dealer so many times that I won't buy anything or have service done by them any more.
