IBR

Hey all;

I have been following the IBR very closely this year.
BMWs 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
lots of records this year.
Very interesting when you can watch live the 100 bikes cover north america coast to coast and even into new foundland/labrador. OMG.
winner 12885 miles in 11 days. Would I love to try that. 50cc first and go from there.

Re: IBR

Our very own Ken Meese took 3rd place. This was even after taking out a deer just a few hours before the end of the race. In the past Ken was taken out by a coyote on the last night in. Then he Hydroplaned and went down in Maryland during a massive storm also on the last night.
Damn glad he was able to finish this one.

Re: IBR

Congratulations to every rider who finished, and condolences to those who didn't, for whatever reason.

I know well the joy of a great ride, and know equally well the heartbreak of not reaching your goals.

The Iron Butt Rally is a life-changing experience, to be sure.

And that deer was asking for it...

All lower 48 states plus Alaska on the K13GT in two weeks . . .

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...
