OK, if you win, I expect a finder's fee...

For those of you who couldn't make it to the International Motorcycle Show, at the BMW display there was a application form to complete for a contest to win "your choice of any 2007 model motorcycle." If you were lucky, you also caught the attention of one of the reps there, who gave you a sticker sheet with a secret website thru which you could submit an additional application.

Yes, I'll suffer the wrath (or is it wraith? I never remember) of those who don't understand statistics who will say "hey, don't tell them this, because the fewer applicants, the better MY chances for winning," but hey, this is a forum for friends, and I piss people off for other reasons, so why not.

go to: http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/welcometotheedge/ims and then look on the bottom right to register yourself for the contest.

If you win, remember your buddy Pete (maybe a finder's fee of a new helmet or somethin')

And even if you don't, remember your buddy Pete who is currently being stuck with stickers and pins he fronted cash for...see the thread on the LT category.

Best of luck...and if you win and get that k1200s in that new black, blue and white color scheme, at some point I at least get to ride it...deal?

Pete

Yeah ... what I liked was that the paperwork they handed out at the show had the url listed as /IMS which returns a 404 not found, instead of /ims which works. Wonder how many people came home from the show trying to register for their second chance, and then gave up because the link just didn't work.

That's not Titan Silver there Pete. That's "Storm Gray Metallic". Titan Silver is the more traditional light silver color...last offered in '04. Don't worry your pretty little head dreamin' though...this one's all mine! And I'm takin whatever 'S' they'll give me.
