Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

OK. $800 puts them in the realm of expensive, but possible. I figure safety isn't cheap.

For price comparison sake, you can get Hella FF200 HIDs for under $700.00.

GS Application

Used them (600's) on my 05GS. Incredible output.. Could not use them in/around town during night, too much light output for local traffic ! Out in country, now that's different ! Nothing hides from them, in-fact they put light on stuff I could not see clearly/identify, that's some distance down the road. During daytime, I ran them all the time. No one, I mean no one missed seeing me come down the road !

Only neg. I had was light scatter thru edges of glass lens. I installed silver (adhesive back) sign/letter material around outside edge of lens to eliminate the scatter.

And if they'd sort the cracking housing issue, then I'd be there.

Jim, how did the 600's hold up on the GS?

GS Use

I put about 7K miles on them whilst on my old GS. Mostly hard pavement miles. No issues under those circumstances.

Does PIAA know about cracking issues ?

I had never heard that comment made before..?

The cracking was referring to the Hella units. I was hoping the PIAA's didn't exhibit the same issue. Sounds like yours were fine.

Dogpiled Hella Micro DE Xenon's: $639 was the best price I found. Ouch!
