Exclamation Cracked rear wheel recall

Just read about the above recall on cracked rear wheel mounting flange.

Yes, there have been a lot of threads. The things have been cracking for years.
It's not really the wheel. It's the spindle, the spider.
I think the official name is a flange.
And I don't think it apply to you, seeing as how it don't look like you got no RT, nor GS, or do you?

I like the wording...

If the rear wheel mounting flange cracks, the mounting bolts may loosen and the rear wheel may not remain secured to the motorcycle, causing a loss of stability and increasing the risk of a crash.

I think once the rear wheel leaves the motorcycle a crash is gonna happen.

True..there have been many threads..but, since this recall does not take effect until April 21, 2015, it could be a first.
