There is a "board", correct? C'mon Jeff...you know who was talking at.

My ride to and from Jackson Hole was awesome! A GREAT experience...and one I'll never forget. Just around the area, the riding was less than expected. No big deal...

Anything would be better? Give me a break. Yes, it was soooo inferior to Ohio. Was it really the riding or was it the 45mph National Park speed limit or perhaps the lack of a Super 8? We, and I do mean we, enjoyed the Jackson Lake Lodge venue and all it had to offer.

I am so looking forward to trying the vintages from the Toad Suck Vineyard and Country Club next year. I sure hope the Kermit Spa Suite is available when it's time to register. I wonder if there will be any LTs left by then? Got Pillion?

CCR was never held in Ohio . . . so much for context.

The lodge was nice . . . but we were too spread out. No sense of unity. The Grand Tetons are grand . . . but the 45 mph stickly enforced limits did put a dampener on the event...true dat. And "the lack of a Super 8"? Not sure what that means...but as a motorcyclist, I have this strange fascination with actually riding my motorcycle. Especially on challenging roads. I can take a pleasant ride through a park almost anywhere.

I am very concerned about what riding this year's CCR will present. I just hope that the facility redeems that part of it.

The reason I'll go to CCR (no matter where it's held) is to SEE the members of bmwlt.com. That alone is reason enough.

You could at least sound happy about it. Don't mean to twist your arm. Your LT seems happy enough on that trailer...or...in the garage, I guess.

C'mon Joe, you were using that dang GPS too much!
2 national parks to explore, Bear Tooth pass even though part of it was closed we got to the summit, Big Horn National forest, Some back roads in Grand Tetons, and Jackson that disappeared beneath our wheels. Sneak into to go to a sports bar, and watch TV and drink Guinness. OK, so there was no race track to race you bike at.

Just Go

Hey, Hays is a great place to ride. If you like flat and straight and windy and hot and dry. OK so maybe Toad Suck would be better. However if you guys are ever in the Hays area give me a call. We have a great little micro brewery downtown.

I am happy, thrilled, excited, elated, relieved, and ready to ride the LT to CCR. It was supposed to sound funny... as in me not having to bear the humiliation of driving/trailering/walking to a bike-related event... like BMWMOA.

Now here's a thing. Toad Suck - is that a name of a place or a venue? Whatever it is, I would like to know from someone in the "know" if it would be possible to travel to the US, hire an LT and join in the obvious fun that you guys share at the much advertized CCR. If so, I'll book for next year now!
AR - I take it that means Arizona? Have to check on the map to see exactly where in the USA that is. I can't bring my LT with me from South Africa 'cos my bike is a RHD and would tend to drive on the "wrong" side of the road!

Toad Suck?! - now I've heard everything!

Allen,

AR is for Arkansas. Toad Suck is a small town in the Ozarks... good riding any direction! The venue would probably be in Conyers as I don't think there's a facility in Toad Suck that can handle an event like CCR, but I'm sure the CCR coordinators have that all figured out. Toad Suck does have some history. See http://www.toadsuck.org/index.asp

You could probably rent a BMW... not sure about an LT, but I would probably start with Eagle Rider. They rent mostly Harley's but do rent Gold Wings, and Some BMW's (RT, GS, etc.)

Good Luck to you.

Reservations Made !!

Just got our reservations made! The lady at the Toad Suck / Conway Super 8 says she has never seen such a rush of reservations from all over the US. Better hurry, rooms are going fast! Be sure to ask for the special CCR rate!
