What kind of glue do I use...

... to reattach the rubber strip along the upper portion of the 'face' opening on the shell of my Schuberth?

This is the rubber strip that the face shield presses against to make a seal when the shield is down.

I guess all the raising/lowering of the face shield over the past 2+ years has caused on area about 1" long to come loose - no big deal until it rains...

Weatherstrip cement should work. They have it at all auto stores.

Well, as a glue sniffing expert I would agree with 3M weatherstipping adhesive. Wipe off the surfaces first with an alcohol soaked rag - and have a sip for yourself too.

Figured Deacon was pulling my leg - sort of like sending me on a snipe hunt or something... Sorry Deacon...

Ron, you are starting to sound like another respected member who is a self proclaimed connoisseur of oils and locktite...

I'm more into eating loons than snipes or Royal Purple, and if you think Grif OR me is respected by anyone other than our dawgs...

I will admit I have a penchant for certain Permatex products. Yum.

Well of course Shawn....after the weatherstrip adhesive THEN you put the rivets in to be sure it holds. I just assumed you knew that......

I have become a great believer in GOOP. Yes, Grif, they have it in many flavors: http://www.amazinggoop.com/
