RX3 anyone?

I have those days when I just don't want to wrestle the big fat pig around, when I don't have to cover hundreds of miles in comfort, when I just need something to hop on to and run to the shop or want to go play in the dirt, or better a little bit more dirt than the GS is comfortable in.

Until now I was unable to find something I really liked and that seemed to scratch that itch. Then a few weeks ago I ran across someone mentioning the RX3.

http://www.californiascooterco.com/csc_cyclone_rx-3.htm

After a lot of research I have come to the conclusion I am going to get two of those. One for yours truly and one for Karen. At the initial price of $2895 they are a steal and even at the normal price of $3495 they are still one heck of a deal.

Put a Honda sticker on that bike and you pay easily $6000, put a KTM sticker on it and you'll pay $7500

Interesting 250cc a little small though. Good starter bike.

Small for what? Have you ever taken anything off road, or even off pavement? You'll see very quickly that displacement is not the most important.

The US is the only country that I know of where a 600cc bike is considered small. in most countrys a 600cc is actually too big to be useful.

Ok, then I concede.

Its too small to ride on it, too small to do anything useful and too slow at 80+mph to get anywhere.

I didn't say that. In fact I was considering it for my wife. There is nothing to concede. Funny you sound like my wife.

I didn't hear that about your wife, and I'm pretty sure she'd not be happy to be told she sounded like that asshole Andy

But if you are considering it, you'd better do it fast. $2895 is one hell of a price.

Heck I know a few folks who have that much in farkles on their bikes. LOL.

Re: RX3 anyone?

Hope you enjoy the bike, but putting a KTM or Honda sticker on it does not make it the equivalent of either of these very well developed and built brands. There is usually a very good reason you can purchase something for less than half the cost of a similar "looking" product.

Hope you will provide some opinions and long term evaluations of your new purchases. 👍

I agree, and since nobody has seen the bike yet "in the flesh" any discussion whether or not this is equivalent is pointless, one way or the other.

I am not definitely going to do that. In the forum mentioned above.
