Talking Summer boxers.

Alright all you long distance moguls out there.
I'm in the market for wicking underwear.
I hear from the riders that wear them all day
That they work very well, keeping monkey butt at bay.

Cool max they say is one of the brands.
But others have posted of others in hand.
Where can you buy it, and at what cost
For I am approaching long mileage, and I'm feeling a bit lost.

Summer is here, the days will be hot.
I would truly prefer the buns are not.
The seat is adorned with black wooden beads.
Roll back and forth and the tushy it kneads.

So now all I need are the drawers that do wick.
Keeping the lower parts dry, not weepy and sick.
So post what you know of in the unmentionable line.
Cuz I want to ride far, with a healthy behind!!!

Hi Gene,

Under Armor is the only way to go. You can get it at Academy Sports or Sports Authority if you have those where ever you are, but they are the best.

Summer boxers

Hey Gene,

I too recommend UA products. Not only the briefs, but the t-shirts also.

They are made from 100% polyester--which radiates heat 10 times as fast as cotton. That's why you stay cool and dry.

The socks work well in boots, also!

I add my vote

for Under Armour, but I also wear shirts from 5.11 tactical series that do a superb job.

Hey, out in Western WA heat is nothing! Where are you heading off to?

Gene,

These are made near you and are specially built for long distance motorcycle riding. I met the owner at an iron butt RTE - ride to eat - on Sunday. I have been using the products for a few years as well.

Got 3 pairs of the LDComfort shorts. Compared to Under Armour, the LDComfort shorts suck.

Gene BABY!
Run (don't walk) out to buy at least two pairs each of Under Armor for you and Kathi.
I have them for warm weather and cold weather.
I like the long sleeve better than the short sleeve.
Plan on spending time to try them all on so you know what you are getting.
Miss ya both,

Try www.campmor.com

Have not tried UA but have used similar products from Campmor while riding/flyfishing/camping - they are about half the price of retail outlets. Get the tight fit as the material works best when in constant contact with skin. Using performance material clothing makes a huge difference. I only use coolmax, polartec and supplex nylon type clothing when riding. Not only does it keep you more comfortable but it takes up far less space - I pack all clothing needed for a 10 day trip in just the top case bag.

Do you guys prefer the tight or loose fit tees?

The skin-tight tees are perfect as an undershirt. Loose-fit is good as an outer shirt.

Black loose fit absorbs heat and is good in cold climates, or in hot climates when you don't want wetness to look so obvious.

5.11 tactical series

5.11 tac's are also very good because they are 100% polyester or a poly-cotton mix. Good "wicking action."
