Smile New engine for the LT ?

I wonder just how long it will be before BMW puts the new 4 cylinder from the K1200S and R in the LT. It seems to me they will again want all of the K bikes to share the same engine. Does anyone have any info?

Saw somewhere on here somebody said 09.

Garage
The best guess so far is in late '07 as an '08 model. But BMW will keep this a secret as long as they can to maintain sales of the current LT (and their other bikes). The first official notice will probably be at one of the European bike shows next year.

And I seriously doubt the V6 rumors.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

I've got sources who have a really great track record still saying the engine from the S/R/next-gen GT will be on the next LT.

I wonder if that engine has enough low end torgue to be effective on such a heavy bike. Since their main competition is the GoldWing, you would think they would want to gear the engine to match what the competitors are running? Ron

Go look at the HP and Torque comparisons on the following page and then ask the question again
