Thumbs up Thank you Randy @ Chicane

I had a problem with my Chicane tank bag, the tabs that hold it on raveled out, I called Randy and he sent me a replacement right away, that is great customer service.

Angry thanks to Chicane

I now own a BMW tank bag for the LT. I thought that Chicane made pretty cool stuff and asked their rep (could have been randy) at last years rally in Paonia to give me a heads up when he more LT bags in stock. He didn't have any at the time.

Well, repeated emails asking someone at Chicane for an LT bag went ignored, so I purchased the BMW bag. I'm glad you had a psotive experience but as far as I'm concerned, Chicane can bite me!

Randy @ Chicane

I'm currently shopping for a tank bag. I emailed Chicane's "contact us" with a few questions and was promptly replied to by Randy Klamm. His information was very useful. He included product descriptions and even photographs of products that are available but not yet included in their current product catalog.

Chicane is a small company and Randy is a very busy boy. Sometimes...things fall through the cracks. For the LT, there is simply not a nicer tankbag or rackbag. Period.

You may want to make sure his replys (if any) are not falling victim to your email spam filter.

I recently emailed Chicane regarding a bag for my FJR since have one of their bags on my LT and am quite please with it. Randy's TWO replies were timely and informative.
As it turned out, I went another route with the FJR butt I would certainly recomend their products and service as top notch.

I would have loved to get a Chicane bag but they were never available, always on back order, could not get a delivery date, and eventually was ignored. So, I bought Tour Master which is only adequate. Chicane seems like the way to go if you are fortunate enough to catch them at the right time.

Yes, it's about double the capacity of the BMW bag.

Make that at least 4 times bigger. And...it's expandable. (Although I never felt the need to expand it.) And it has a small pocket on top. One on each side. With an attached rain cover in front. Very well thought out.

I also cannot say enough good about the guys and products of Chicane. They are a small but first class operation and the quality and design of their products are among the very best in the business.

Randy and his brother attend many rallies and support the product to the best of their ability. They also listen to suggestions. The LT bag came about through careful consideration of customer's suggestions.

You may not find Randy at as many events this summer due to a broken ankle caused by a little help from "friends", but I will let him tell that story.

Customer Service

Everyone can mess up from time to time. I really liked the Chicane LT bag that I saw at Paonia last summer and may phone or email Chicane again. There have been people complain about Cee Baileys but I have always had good luck with them.

The tabs on the BMW bag also pull loose BTW.
