Careful what you wish for.
So here I am, boppin down I-65 south of Montomery, AL on the LT. I'm headin home from being up in Columbia, SC to see my nephew graduate from boot camp. As I'm closing in on an on ramp, a line of cars slides onto the interstate and the last in line feels the need to come across all the lanes into the fast lane where I happened to be, not even seeing me alrady there and forcing me to brake down to keep from running into his dumb, slow ass.
It's a pickup loaded with furniture and stuff, obviously someone moving right?
So now I'm PO'd at the HUA driver and thinking "I wish your stuff would just fall off". Well....
After he sped up and got a couple hundred yards in front of me, a box spring FLEW up off the back of that pickup, right into the cab of an 18 wheeler riding in the next lane. It bounced off the cab and under the rear wheels of the trailer and just exploded into wood, springs and stuffing all over the place.
I dodged around most of it into clear road. The guy in the pickup saw what happened and floored it out of there. I pursued while the 18 wheeler was pulling off the highway and eventually got his license number and description of vehicle. I then waited on the side of the highway untill the big truck came by then followed it till we got to a rest area where I flagged him over.
I asked the driver if he had any damage and told him I had the license number of the idiot in the pickup. He said he didn't have any damage and thanked me for getting the license number anyway. I can't imagine what went through that drivers mind as that box spring flew up right at him. It must have hit "cushy side in" and just bounced off. If it had hit edge on it would have gone through the cab. Driver was lucky that time. I figure I was too. If I had been directly behind the truck when it went over the box spring, I might have hit all the large debris and likely wrecked the bike.
So, carefull what ya wish for....

If it rolls, floats, flies or shoots, runs on gasoline or gunpowder, is loud, goes fast, or shoots a big bullet, thus producing Torque or Recoil....It's Cool.
