In Dallas we will get to see some of the new (2015) bikes for a change.

Re: Progressive International Motorcycle Show Schedule

Nothing in the Southeast except for Miami and 3 shows in the upper mid-West, that's nuts. For the two years the show was in Atlanta, it seemed like it was well attended.

Re: Progressive International Motorcycle Show Schedule

As per usual, the show hits Cleveland the last weekend of January. Unfortunately, nobody's making a bike that even tempts me away from my Concours14 ... yet.

They heard you're no longer in the market for a bike and figured "what's the point?".

For at least the last several years, the IMS' Cleveland show has been the last week in January, and frequently it's been really, really crappy (snow, ice, cold). It's been fun to watch the few brave souls who show up on bikes. I'm never there early enough to prove it, but I think they sneak in late at night and unload them from trailers.

They sound just like Harley riders in the Summer...

If you ride your motorcycle to the Long Beach show, then parking is free. If you drive your car, you must pay for parking. I think it costs $10, which is almost as much as a ticket to the show. The parking lot is full of motorcycles. Even the Harley riders show up on their motorcycles, braving the possibility of getting caught in heavy snow and ice.

Re: Progressive International Motorcycle Show Schedule

Not only is Atlanta out, but there is no South Carolina show either. Just as well, I think I skipped the last show in Atlanta.

When they first started, several years back, many of the manufactures had multiple concept bikes at the show. But the poor economy probably forced many of them to dial it back. As a result you end up with a pitiful show - basically stuff you'd see in the show room and not much else.

Re: Progressive International Motorcycle Show Schedule

Last years show in Long Beach had a lot of new things to look at. Fortunately the Long Beach show is the biggest on the west coast. But that show has been cut way down from years past.... It gets smaller and smaller every year.

Re: Progressive International Motorcycle Show Schedule

Since Atlanta and the Carolina's were boycotted, I may ride down to the Aim Expo show as an alternative to the Progressive shows. Its just that it is the same weekend as the Ironhorse get-together. Decisions, Decisions.
