WHAT The Heck is This?

Under the seat is obviously a birds nest of wiring but while I was trying to diagnose one problem when I came across this. The case was 1/2 off and obviously corroded. If you can't read the numbers from the pictures, from top to bottom it reads:
86519 K
0 332 017 300
Bosch
12V
Can someone please help me with this.

2nd. Just in the last few months when listening to any audio sorce (tape, cd or radio) I get this increadibly loud static coming out of all 4 speakers. It happens when the bike is off as well. I don't even know where to begin to diagnose the origin.

Thank you for your help!!

Re: WHAT The Heck is This?

Well, it's obviously a relay.

Perhaps there to power some long lost farkle that is no longer on the bike.
Trace the wires down and see were they go.

Hopefully it's not some kind of Rube Goldberg Starter relay fix..

As for the radio, You probably just need to remove and clean the connections under the Stingray and at the rear by the top box. This usually fixes most problems with the radio speakers.
A little di-electric grease on the connections will help to keep the corrosion down.

Good Luck
