Craftsman Digital Air Compressor

Thought I would mention this. I bought this a couple of months ago and tried it for the first time today on a couple of 50 PSI bicycle tires. It worked great! Not nearly as small as other compressors I've seen recommended, but I like the idea of setting it to the PSI you want, and it stops when filled. I purchased this at K-mart and bought the extended 1 yr warranty for $2 or so.

$20. I put it in a small tool bag, used some armorflex pipe insulation on the bottom of the compressor to absorb shock. Has a removable digital gage, accessories, plenty of cord and hose, 90 degree fitting and the preset is what sold me on the purchase.

How accurate is the gauge, especially in the pre-set mode?

Re: Craftsman Digital Air Compressor

I can't get to the LT just yet to try it, but it states +/- 2 PSI. Today was the first I took the battery protector off to use it.

I tried it four times and compared the compressor to my best digital gage. At 59 PSI setting on the pump, the tire was 4 PSI lower on my digital gage.
