BMW Motorrad Charger on Odyssey Battery

I was looking to replace my stock battery on an 2009 RT and the Odyssey seems to be a popular choice.

My concern is that the BMW charger (canbus) is not listed as an approved charger. Does anyone have experience with this combination of charger and battery?

Thanks - Bluerocker

Re: BMW Motorrad Charger on Odyssey Battery

IF the charger is approved for AGM batteries it will be fine. But if it's not listed on the Odyssey's approved list, they may refuse any warranty claim if they wish.

Re: BMW Motorrad Charger on Odyssey Battery

I used the BMW charger on my Odyssey for many years with no problem. It even helped to bring it back to life when I accidentally discharged it one time.

Re: BMW Motorrad Charger on Odyssey Battery

Thanks for the thoughts. I'm glad to hear it works without issue.
I'm not too worried about being out $100 if it dies prematurely but if it catches fire and takes my garage with it, that's another problem.

Not much chance of that I think all the BMW chargers have overload protection.
