Brake line question

Hey guys, well the big girl has blown a rear brake line near the slave cylinder so I'm going to change the front and rear lines to be safe.Question is to Chris and Axle did you get your brake lines directly from Speigler or a dealer as the website seems to direct you to a dealer.

Re: Brake line question

Hi Spiegler dont sell direct to the public, the mob they referred me to was link
I found them great to deal with no problems. I just looked at there site and they are not listing a kit for the LT so you need to email them for a quote you will need six hoses from memory about 285+ freight. genuine front hose is 245.00 so its a bargain

Re: Brake line question

Steve,
You might try searching for the kit by part number.

Spiegler BMW K1200LT

Part number S-BM0168

I found a few sites that had them. Best of luck.

Re: Brake line question

I just spoke with Spiegler. I will be at the BMWRA at Barbers and want to purchase brake lines for my 2000. They will be there also and will give a discount for purchases at the rally. They also said that they do sell thru dealers.

Re: Brake line question

Hi Steve

An Aussie importer is http://www.easyriderimports.com.au/s...rakelines.html but also check Axles' site where ours came from.

Just double check in case you need a different kit to the one Brian mentioned for your 2001.. its listed as part no S-BM0140 for Model K 1200 LT Year 1998 - 2001
http://www.spieglerusa.com/brake-line-kit-179.htm

the S-BMO168 is for 02-10 K1200LT's.
If they fitted yours you could take my kit while you order another... still in box as I don't plan to do them till after the Snowy Ride this year.

Re: Brake line question

Hey Chris thanks for the offer but I'm not in that much of a rush .I checked into this a while ago and I think the Speigler site lists 2002 as the integrated brake model where as mine is a 2001 with integrated system. The only thing I can think of is the USA only got integrated brakes in the 02 model.Anyway I will email them and see if that's correct.
