Winter

Hey all.
Winter is dwindling out a little by the look of the Blowys today,
Went down to the river for a picnic with a friend and we lit a fire as usual and cooked some pancakes on a pan and boiled the billy for a cuppa after.
Was in the 4WD today but will take the bike for a run tomorrow,
On that note I have to say that I find the LT the warmest bike I have had in the winter but what is it like in the summer??
Does all the wind deflection make it a little warm?
Feed back appreciated!

Yours didn't come with air co?

On the really warm days no bike is going to be cool but on our bikes you can turn the wind deflectors in, which gives a heap of air through.
A good light summer jacket is also a good thing to have. If you have a camelback or similar it's probably a good idea to carry for longer rides to keep you hydrated.

Re: Winter

Can't wait for this bloody crap weather to disappear.

yeah it gets hot. I use Draggin jeans and Neds Kevlar reinforced top when its really hot, and and light pair of summer gloves. as mentioned turn in the bottom wings to get the air over the legs, but it does change the dynamics of the bike a little, and I stand on the pegs occasionally for a good blast of air.

Re: Winter

Hey Linton, mate you cop those fronts in Portland about 48 hours before they hit Tassie. Not too much global warming goin' on here at the moment let me tell ya ! As for how hot the K12's are in summer, own a K100 in summer and ride for a few days in Vic at 40+ degrees, the insides of your thighs will be red for a week afterwards ! Man are they a hot bike in Summer. No problem with the LT's though, just flick the air deflectors around and she's all good.
