VIC - compulsory Hi-Vis gear??

There's an online petition going to try to stop some apparent Govt attempt in VIC to get riders to all wear compulsory Hi-Vis gear...

I'd rather the governments get more serious about stopping people using hand-held mobile phones while driving... make it safer for all of us.

Re: VIC - compulsory Hi-Vis gear??

Hi,
I might sound like a conservative old fart, but I think a lot of people add a lot of farkles and other items to help being seen. HID lighting and LED's As a rider who recently experienced a near miss,(even with a high vis jacket on) I am not against looking like a dork to be seen by the ignorant, inattentive drivers. One save to me is worth while. Whilst I am riding, I cannot see myself in the mirror, THEY need to.
