I just called into Morgan &Wacker on the gold coast to find out how much the 60k service will cost me.

Holy Mother of God! $1300...anyone had this service done?

Re: K1200 60K service

Grab the manual, study the threads on the subject and ask questions. Take it one step at a time. (i.e. Tupperware off, Done! Stingray off, Done! Tank off, Done!) and do it yourself.

Just took advantage of Beemerboneyards 15% off, and ordered the kit and quick disconnects for my '05. for 200. (75 for the QDs)

It looks daunting, but its easy and FUN!

Re: K1200 60K service

I save $400 at the local dealer if I take off the tupperware before I bring the bike in.
It brings my cost down to around $450 for the complete service.

Alright... Hers is a great suggestion for all of the down unda folk... Get a tech session scheduled with 2-3 bikes. Buy me a plane ticket and I'll do it for you... you could save over half the stealer price...

Sleep on it....

Hi Chris,
I have already been told that Beryl cannot get a resting site at the Ward house....The XS1100E Yammy has already taken the one and only spot. Had a ganders at the K1600 in Frasers last Tuesday....need to take it for an extended test ride down south to Mittagong,.. Bowral or somewhere for a coffee....trouble is that's how Beryl wormed her way into the house....

hmmmmm nice but expensive...

cheers

Re: K1200 60K service

I have mine booked into Worthington's to have its 70,000km service.
Quoted price, $270 - we'll see!
The guy there said the 30, 60, 90K services were the expensive ones.

Re: K1200 60K service

70k is oil and filter change check fluids, tyres etc. for a dealer that's about right. Our labor charges are $100 +/hour for a BMW mechanic edit I should have said in melbourne

Re: K1200 60K service

Had the 70k service done today.
Total diagnostics done, written report and the mechanic spoke to me!
$258.30
(Rave: Worthington's - great to deal with!)
Rigger394: get a price from them and ride down. It'll still cost $1300 but you will have an excellent journey there and back
cheers,
Greg
