Metal quick disconnect couplings in Oz

I've been reading about the dreaded issues with failed plastic quick disconnects, usually sometime after they have been uncoupled, presumably for maintenance. I'm soon to do the first major service and would like to have an upgrade set on hand, does anyone know of a source here in Australia at a reasonable price ? CPC appear to be good quality and are available ex Beemer Boneyard in the states, but local will do if they're reasonable. Any leads guys ?

I believe Southbank in melbourne and motohansa both carry them you only need the male end its the one that breaks, and yes they are twice the price of the USA ones

Bought mine from BeemerBoneyard... fast delivery and the dealer here put them in while doing the big service for me.
Pity our dollar is going the other way again though... I was just starting to look into Hyperpro adjustable dampeners...

Thanks Linton, tyical of the prices, I don't mind paying a premium but I hate getting ripped off. CPC is Colder Product Company, it looks as though they are a manufacturer of the items in chrome plated brass, but alas, the units we need are a special run and they only take an order for their stated minimum amount with a $75 premium for tooling up.Bugger

Re: Metal quick disconnect couplings in Oz

I've just sent a query about the quick disconnects to Motobins UK. If they have them I'll get them with the service kit I'm buying from them. I want to have them on hand when I do the fuel filter change.

Are these the ones you asked about? I bought 2 sets, which they had in stock at the time. (or the 4 piece set)

Re: Metal quick disconnect couplings in Oz

Yes Chris, they're the ones, but I couldn't see them on Motobins website or catalogue, only at Beemer Boneyard. I was wanting to get them at the same time as a major service kit so I could install them when I change the fuel filter. Save on postage, but I might need to check the service kit price from Beemer Boneyard and go that way. I'll wait and see.
