the saga of the new seat

Well I shipped my seat over to russell day long in the states, and sold my existing spare seats. I have not been on the bike in 6 weeks, they shipped the new seat on the 18th of last month and yesterday got the receipt and invoice from russell. but I have no seat it has vanished, so another 28 days of investigation then who knows maybe insurance. to top it all off got a speeding fine on the melbourne freeway in the car 105kph in a 100kph zone wait for it $153.00 thank you very much
I feel better now Dr Phill

Re: the saga of the new seat

Somewhat reminiscent of the confusion I had dealing with Rick Mayer.... but without the ticket. That sucks Linton, hope they find it soon, or it just turns up!
Can't believe you didn't hang onto a seat while it was being done though?

Re: the saga of the new seat

Think that something (post 911) maybe going on ? I also have a parcel this time coming from Hong Kong and it is lost/delayed. perhaps everything is getting an X-ray ?
Hope your seat turns up,also if you have a good driving record write to them and they may turn the speeding fine,it is a real money grabbing exercise !
cheers Andrew

I would hope nothing more stupid than usual is happening... I've got some new EBC rear brake pads coming from the UK... posted on the 15th so we'll see how long they take to get here too.

Yeah, give it a shot Linton... its same in NSW if you haven't lost a point in 10 years you can request leniency.... I missed out by a few months when I got hit by a new speed camera setup here a couple of years ago... bastards wouldn't budge.

Re: the saga of the new seat

if this rain and wind would bugger off I would be able to give it a road test, I Just hope it helps with the pain shooting down my leg guess I will find out in the next couple of days if it was another waste of money, I can just add it the the already long list
gotta say the quality of the seat is brilliant kudo's to Russell daylong.

Re: the saga of the new seat

well I finally got to ride last weekend only 200km but i gotta say the seat feels great, I am still not used to the wings they feel kinda strange to sit on, I had to take off my suburban pegs they are now to low, My back is a little sore today probably I will try riding with the back rest off for a while to see if its going to be a problem, and I am now tippe toed at rest so I have to really slide forward to reach the ground
