Exclamation Seeking a quality BMW Service guy in Sydney

Hi, i am looking for a BMW Motorcycle service centre in Sydney.

I have used Procycles in Hornsby, but i am tired of being treated like an ATM and an idiot.

I live on the North Shore, but i am not fussy where the dealer is, as long as you get what you pay for.

Thanks Graham

Re: Seeking a quality BMW Service guy in Sydney

Hi, I have had some dealings with Motohansa at Rydalmere - they seem to be pretty good. I have had mine serviced at Procycles at St Peters, but will be taking it to Motohansa for the next service.

If you take yours there before I do, I would love to hear any feedback.

That's the one thing you can guarentee about bmw they cost the earth for servicing, I learnt very early in the piece to do all my own repairs, and almost all my knowledge came from this very site, I have even rebuilt the diff.
So if I havent said it before thanks to all the wise people out there for your help, sorry cant help with your question

Re: Seeking a quality BMW Service guy in Sydney

Hi Graham,
unless you start servicing it yourself, we're pretty limited for choice.
I was very happy with early servicing done at Worthington's at Gosford, where I bought my bike from, but have been using Procycles at St Peters for some time now, mainly because its only 15 minutes from my work and I'm not too keen to get into the main mechanicals of the bike. I would have liked to keep going to Worthingtons, but it just became impractical.
I did get to ride a few other BMW's as loaner bikes with them (R1200RT, F800S, R1100 etc).. which I don't at Procycles... they've only got a pissy 600 Suzuki which is real hard on the balls.
The guys at St Peters in the Service Dept are OK though, I"ve not had any issues with the work they've done, apart from the excessive cost of BMW servicing overall. In fact I just had it in for 70km service and new tyres this week, getting ready for my "round Oz" trip in 2 weeks. They are holding my 1/2 worn tyres to put back on the bike when I get back.
Marcel Cross is the Service Manager there... quite a nice guy to deal with.
Haven't tried Motohansa... so can't comment there.
With the LT, unless you do it youself, I'd stick with one of the stealers... at least you've got some comeback if something isn't right.
If you find someone good... let us know!
good luck

Hey guys!
Not that it helps you Sydney folk out but for the record Lee McPeake engineering in SA is the only place to take your BMW. This guy could recite the k100 microfiche in his sleep..
His prices are great and he knows his stuff!

Cheers
