Cool Beryl Beemer gets new cover

"evening all"....

Beryl's original bike cover that I bought from SuperCheap Auto Coffs Harbour, probably 7-9 years ago (??) for $40-$50 has finally had it's day. The creases that formed from folding the cover each day etc decided that it had had enough, and there were more air vents than cover in the end.

Yep,... I use the cover each day here at work.

Soooooooo time for a new pressy for Beryl. SuperCheap Auto here at Bella Vista business park had one for $85...hmmmmmmm need to wait for a special methinks.

SuperCheap Auto had a special on the Easter weekend...bugger Beryl was pulled apart for fuel cell repairs, fuel, air, oil filters, blah blah...missed out on that one.

But...he who waits with a tattered bike cover does get to buy a new one when SuperCheap has another special. Same cover still here at Bella Vista, so demand is not that hot for a 1000-1500cc delux bike cover.

from $A85 now down to $58...woohooo....sounds good to me.

Also bought some of the auto spiral armour 6-8mm for Beryl's HT leads as per Pozo's tip....had always been concerned about this design of HT leads resting on hot cylinder head...spiral stuff was $16.

Attached a couple of pix of new bike cover.....this is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy thicker material than my original cover...this is almost like a tarpaulin...comes with a zipper bag that is almost like a hikers backpack hehehhehe.

Soooo those of you there that need a bike cover that will probably outlast their ownership, and can probably double as a tent if camping at Mount Hotham here's the go.....

cheers

Hi Chris,
Geeezzz was I pleased that I changed Beryl's tyres not long ago.....it has almost been piddling down with that wet stuff ever since.
Nahhhhhhh I have the luxury (if you can call getting to work a luxury) of parking Beryl when it is raining beneath a covered area next to the loading dock, so didn't need to put her pj's on.......her.
My RTA wet weather gear works very well, plus the thermal liner on the jacket.....warm as toast. Also good idea of mine to buy two pairs of gloves at the same time, one pair gets wet, swap to the other whilst first pair dries out....

Noticed with the new Bendix front brake pads that the wheel rim is getting mucho dirtier....hmmmmmmmmm bad Bendix brake pads!!!!!.

cheers
