finally able to view site again

g'day all, well I have been away from the site for some six months, that is how long it has taken me to get my browser to talk here. I thought the forum had vanished that's what can happen changing internet providers I have a lot of reading and catching up, had a great trip over to WA for the AGM the LT is still going strong, Hey chris how is that yankie seat going I learnt that you can stand on the foot pegs for a really long time

Re: finally able to view site again

Hey Linton, welcome back!
Sounds like you need to give your bum a present mate....
LD riding with a "real" seat just isn't an issue after you get one... except the legs still get stiff and sore and still have to stand on pegs, hang legs on wings, and do all other manner of silly things just to stretch on long boring bits. ;-)
While our $$ is still strong, might be a good time to look into it. You'll get a better deal now than I did back then!
I've been having fun rebuilding the EHCS, there's a long thread on LT about it... we managed to find replacement motors (got one from the US) and pumps if needed, I just gotta get some new seals to fix it properly so it doesn't drip-leak, but everything's easy 2nd time around, right?
It was a ~ $100 fix, rather an $2k replacement.

Enjoy trying to catch up!

regards

Chris

Re: finally able to view site again

glad to hear you saved some money BMW certainly seem to get enough of mine, rebuilt the diff prior to Albany probably would have made it, but glad I did. I was hoping a russell seat might come up for sale in the states s/h is the only way I could go right now

Guys,

I have exactly the same problem at home - bmwlt.com does not exist according to my home computers. The only computer I can get to it on is on my laptop through the 3G Telstra wireless connection.

No way can I get to it through by home broadband connection (TPG) even if I plug the laptop into the home broadband router.

Just the Telstra 3G wireless (mobile HDSPA) works.....

Clues on how to fix this??

Re: finally able to view site again

Daz, i've got same problem. Was looking at the bmwlt.com site this afternoon when it just started erroring on new pages. After I quit the page I was on couldn't see site at all. Thats through Telstra Bigpond.
Typing this on Iphone through Vodafone 3G after getting email copy of your message.
No other site a problem though.

Re: finally able to view site again

Hi Guys
Dazza
the problem is you are on a fixed IP with (TPG) same as me, same provider you have to configure your proxy in the browser to proxy.tpg.com.au port 3128 and it will start working send me a pm if you cant do it. I can remotely hook into you and do it for you

Chris I dont think it will effect telstra

Re: finally able to view site again

Well, at least we are back on again... some of the other guys might be scratching their heads still trying to figure it out, if they haven't had their provider "un-spam-blocked".
Might have to slowly go through our known crew and send emails, PM's might not get to them...
